Interview: Zeng Lin of Girl n Monkey

StarWars fans might be aware that there are a few Singaporeans who had been working on the latest film, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, and today… we’re talking to one of them!

Uber talented local artist Zeng Lin works as a professional animator at Industrial Light & Magic and was previously at Lucasfilm Animation, doing what he does best on Hollywood blockbusters like The Avengers. He’s now just set up his very own pet project… Girl n Monkey… and we are super duper stoked for him!

The popular web comic series did AMAZINGLY well, which naturally led to fans from all around the world demanding some official merchandise. Since this year is after all, the Year of the Fire Monkey, Zeng Lin decided that there was no better time than now to take a leap of faith …so he’s create special limited edition plushies of his well-loved character!

Monkey has super expressive hair (just like Zeng Lin!) and long, lanky arms that are perfect to pose with when you’re taking photos of/ with him! Fun factors aside, Zeng Lin has also made sure that his toys are safe so it is CE approved and has nothing sharp (no dangerous wires in its bendy arms or tail) making it 100% safe for children. Personally. I feel this would be a huge hit with not only the kiddies… but us big kids too! Wheeeeee…

Do support this talented local artist and visit his official Girl n Monkey Facebook page for more cuteness overload! Meanwhile… Zeng Lin has very kindly decided to do a Monkey plushie giveaway 😉 Click here now for full details. Check out the Scribble Interview we did with him and if you enjoy his art like I do, please be sure to drop him a note too!
