Yay hey! NingThing is finally up and running… Thank you so much for stopping by my new website, pretty much a revamped fusion of both my Magic Babe Ning website and blog 🙂 I’m super stoked about this project after having traded my illusionist/ escape artist show boots for a writer’s pen, when I announced my retirement from the magic scene late 2014, just prior to the launch of my second book “Who is Magic Babe Ning?”.
Many people have asked me on Facebook what I’ve been up to lately, so I thought I’d just let you in on it. After an amazing decade in magic, I decided to retire at the height of my career because 1) I wanted to bow out gracefully at a time of my own choosing, 2) There’s many things I want to do but had to put them all on the back burner because of my hectic work/ travel schedule, 3) I already ticked off all the things I wanted to do in my magic career check list. So yep, I had a great time and now I want to move on to other things!
I still love magic and it will always be a favourite hobby. That’s why I decided to continue doing magic reviews like before, and I’m so thrilled that we’ve some of the most amazing magicians I personally know who are contributors. Besides magic, book reviews are also featured and I hope it will help (potential) readers make a better informed choice of good reads out there… especially awesome books from good local writers. I truly feel they deserve a shout out.
Besides freelance writing for newspapers and magazines, I’m also working on my third book… while choosing interesting projects that call out to me. For instance, the new Summer’s Eve campaign that has yours truly in its online, commercial and print ads. It was a fun project… I got to sing a jingle for the first time in my life (because I’d always been a magician not a musician) and made friends with some really nice people during the 15-hour “Say Yes to Sexy” shoot.
I’ll also be featuring some really interesting people I’ve met in life’s journey, who I really do respect and admire.
The very first interesting person interviewed is Singaporean female entrepreneur Celine Chan who is a perfect balance of a caring, compassionate soul plus one super smart cookie of a businesswoman. She manages and owns two successful businesses, My Cozy Room Spa and Hypoxi Lifestyle Studio, both conveniently located in town. She has very generously decided to gift readers with some sweet deals, check them out here.
